I would not say I am pro-Israel but I am a believer in the promise of G_d. It is so exciting to see G_d fulfilling his promise to Israel and the Jewish people in this day and age.
We must continue to pray for G_d to accomplish all that he has planned to do for Israel and for the Jewish people.
I believe what happens in Israel mirrors what happens to the church.

Let me note that there were some comments that our staff deemed hateful and not constructive — those were not posted. I’m not interested in this blog becoming a vehicle for arguments or attacks. In the future, we’ll ask that comments contribute to a greater understanding and productive conversation.

There has never been a greater time to show our support for the Jewish people and the land that God has blessed them with. I am a Canadian who is very proud of our government who stands behind the land of Israel and acknowledges their sovereignty as a nation. I am an evangelical Christian who loves my Messiah and His chosen people. Happy Birthday Israel!

Is funding Israel and subsequently dictating how they should operate and defend themselves “pro-Israel”? I think not. It is not anti-Israel to insist that they be recognized as a sovereign nation and be allowed to proceed without heeding the wishes of the US.
We are only friends of Israel as we realize that there is no such thing as Jew or Gentile, male or female, rich or poor, to God. God’s covenant to the Jews and Gentiles is conditional. Blessing always comes through obedience. If they reject God, they will be punished. Unless they repent now as all must, there is no hope for them.
God is going to raise Israel up to herald the Gospel to the rest of the world leading up to and during the millenial reign,which, according to the Bible will occur before the Second Return of Christ, contrary to the sensational/tabloid journalism of LEFT BEHIND.
Jesus said the Kingdom of God cometh not with observation, which is how the Pharisees and modern Christians want it to come. Jesus said the Kingdom of God is within us. Some want him to come in person to set up his Kingdom on earth. He went away for His Spirit to establish the Kingdom now, gave His Church the keys to the Kingdom. What are we doing about it? Very few pre-trib, pre-millenialists act like he could come any minute. In fact, pre-millenialism is a hollow theory perpetrated by modernism. Do the research and you’ll find that to be true.
Let us not be deceived by the sensationalists of our time. Jesus said not to go after the prognosticators who were trying to trouble the Church by saying lo, he is here or there and the time is at hand.

As christians we know the Bible. We know that Isreal and the Jewish Nation are Gods People. We know that Jesus is Gods son. We know what the Jewish people think about that. We know that Jesus will come from the east some day…..so be carefull about doing His job for HIM, and judging before He has a chance to. He is the HOLY SPIRIT. He commanded us to love not judge. I know this is easier said than done, but the Jews are Gods people.

Jesus is the New Covenant. He’s the new Jerusalem, the new Temple. His believers are the new Israel. The ceremonial laws of the Old Testament no longer apply in this age, because Jesus has fulfilled them. Likewise, the territory of the Old Testament nation of Israel is no longer applicable in this age in the way it once was.

Israel, in Scripture, does not always mean the land on which the nation sits, does not always mean the physical nation, does not always mean the people who are biological descendants of Abraham. It is often meant in the sense of the people of God. With Christ, the New Covenant, the people of God are no longer one geneological group, but are all who live in Christ. Nothing could be more central to the message of the Gospel.

The Holy Land is of utmost importance in establishing the historicity of our faith. Who is in political or military or cultural control over it today, however, has no essential importance to our faith.

The existence of the modern state of Israel, while impressive, is easily explainable by its being supported, from the very onset, by the most powerful nations on Earth. Harry Truman said it was his sympathy for the historic plight of the Jewish people that made him support the formation of the modern state. Also, Western powers were eager to have an ally in the Middle East.

Only common sense and decency is needed to see the evil and feel the outrage of the threats by Iran to wipe out Israel. Just as if, say, Cuba threatened to wipe out Panama. Christians are under no biblical obligation to support a modern state of Israel for any other reason than basic moral standards.

Nothing could be more clear from the Gospel that there is only one people of God – those who are in Christ. The old covenant had its age, and that age has passed. We don’t need to look any further than the life and resurrection of Jesus for ample proof that God keeps His promises.

I am pleased with Pres. Bush's speech in Israel. He is a man of great courage and is not afraid to tell the truth. Too bad many Americans cannot see the truth clearly anymore.

I’m pro “all people” and I know that God is not happy with the Jewish people right now because they have rejected his Son. We need to pray that they will repent and turn to Yeshua/Jesus for if they don’t they will not spent eternity with him.
