Most have seen the problem of spending to much, living beyond our means and or not considering the future with any real plan. This is true today as well as in Bible times, but what is happening is a growing tied of people who did the right thing, did not spend money they did not have and still end up in the poor house.

With millions with health care coverage, many work full time jobs and are just one illness from total ruin. Add to this gas, food, taxes, utilities, cars and the basic necessities all going up while real wages are going down and even those seeking to do the right thing may end up in debt beyond their control.

I can give a perfect example. 26 years ago I gave my sister a kidney. The right thing to do. Two years ago while working out to stay healthy. Again the right thing to do, The incision tore resulting in 11 in line hernias. The cost of fixing the problem was well over 20,000 dollars for surgery and three days in the hospital.

Being self employed we had coverage under my wife’s job. When my wife lost her job because the company moved their operation overseas she lost her benefits but because of COBRA we could still get health Insurance. But even with COBRA our health care cost for the year was over 18,000 dollars for premiums and deductibles. After 18 months COBRA expired and the cost of health care went up to over 20,000 dollars per year with a 10,000 dollar deductible.

I have worked since I was 12 years old. Put myself through college working, and raised a family. Now we are just one illness away for total financial destruction. I am not complaining, but millions of Americans are
    in the same boat.

I just wish in tough times- We could drill oil in USA and reduce the price of oil PLUS get rid of manipulative middle east investors who are hurting- manipulating the economy to their advantage. Gas prices alone are itself capable of taking the steam out of the economy. It is that simple. its killing the family budget.
