Focus on Marriage Feedback

Last Saturday Focus on the Family hosted a live, nationwide event, all about how to see your marriage through the eyes of God. Each speaker brought a powerful message, and the music was reflective of the seminar’s theme. More than 70,000 people attended via over 500 locations, mostly churches, and the feedback we’ve received has been simply wonderful.

This was a special time together! Thanks to the great team at Focus who put all the pieces together, the volunteers who served so graciously, the folks who prayed with us and for us, and the individuals and couples who joined us for the day. We’ll hope to do this again!

My husband and I have been married for 25 1/2 years and went to the Focus on the Marriage conference mainly to spend the day together – without the 3 teens! However, we gained so much valuable information and started talking about it even before the day was over. Thank you so much and I hope that if you host one again, we will be able to convince many couples from our church, no matter how recently or how long they’ve been married, to attend.

My wife and I really enjoyed the recent Focus on Marraige seminar – especially the first two speakers. We know of a young couple wjo are in a bit of trouble in their marraige, and could grow closer if they could have heard the messages.

How can I get a copy of Gary Thomas’ and Beth Moore’s messages? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless you! :)

The marriage seminar was wonderful and helpful. Thank you so much for all the hard work and for being committed to teaching the truths of God’s Word. It gives us all hope. How can I get a cd or dvd copy of the day’s sessions? I would love to watch them again and share them with my sister. Thanks again!

The Marriage Simulcast was wonderful! My husband and I are so thankful for Focus on the Family and all the speakers this past weekend! We would like to have a DVD or Audio CD of the simulcast for our personal and church library. Will these be available? Once again, thanks for a great “marriage” conference! Lots of valuable tools we will be prayerfully putting into practice.

    Concerning the Simulcast Marriage Conference:

Excellent! Foundational principles! Deep transparency! Authentic worship! and Practical guidance! What more could one ask in order for marriages to be on solid footing. I pray for a renewed sense of urgency for the Body of Christ to hold high the divine value of the marriage covenant! Then the world will see how, even in the midst of pain and tough times, marriages can hold together and thrive!

My comments are similar to many others. The simulcast Focus on Marriage was excellent and very helpful! Unfortunately because of technical difficulties we missed a portion of Beth Moore’s message. I too would be interested in a DVD of the simulcast.

My husband and I had been looking at our marriage from the wrong prospective and we thank you for bringing that to our attention! The Focus on Marriage simulcast was magnificent and I thank God for it, but like a lot of the others, we would really like a DVD of the entire program!!! I attempted to text that into the program several times, but must have gotten the texting information wrong.

I just wanted to thank focus for having the simulcast.. My husband really enjoyed Beth, she is so down to earth and realistic.. You can truely feel the spirt radiate off of her and I would highly reccomend having her at every simulcast possible. She is such an inspiration to me and many others including my husband… Thanks again for all the hard work.

I purchased tickets to the event and gave to my husband for Christmas (along with a nice dinner out afterwards). Primarily, I wanted us to spend the day together and learn what God has intended and continues to intend for our marriage. After 21 years of marriage and raising 2 children to near adulthood, our relationship continues to grow and change. WOW! What an experience! To get to share in this conference together was a true God send! My husband enjoyed it as much as I did, and we talked about all we had learned over dinner together.
I would love to see this conference made into a couples Bible study! Each speaker gave awesome, Biblically based information!!
Thanks so much for putting on a most excellent event to show us God’s will and hand in our marriages!!!

The simulcast was awesome. My husband and I enjoyed it so very much! Will Focus On The Family be putting together a CD/DVD set of the conference? I would love to give it as a gift. Thank you for helping my marriage!

Christians seem to miss a major point about “Gay”
“Marriage” /”Civil Unions”. Notice that they all require a state issued “License”!

Definition At Law of a “License”?
“A permission to do an act that without that license would otherwise be: “Unlawful, Illegal,
    a Tort or a Trespass” !!!

Sure! What they are doing fits that definition!
Marriage on the other hand is a God ordained & Constitutionally protected RIGHT, and NO STATE
makes it mandatory At Law to get a “Marriage” License!
It is voluntary in all states! “Directory”
    is the Legal term.

That voluntary “Marriage License” is the only, the sole and exclusive, nexus of jurisdiction into a divorce court!

    Hosea 4:6 & Proverbs 18:13 apply!

I am a Born-Again Christian Minister who has been studying Marriage and Divorce for over 20 years, and stop “Divorces”, even at the Court Level, as a matter of law, to buy time for Godly counsel and reconciliation.

Our Higher courts do acknowledge that even a “Divorce” court not only does not sever that Blood covenant of Marriage, but that the divorce court has no jurisdiction over it!

The ONLY, the sole & exclusive, “there ain’t no other”, nexus of jurisdictin of a “divorce” court is over the “civil contract granted by law”.

Want to guess what the euphemistic name of that contract is, and who the “silent third party” in that contract may be?
Hint: It was the “Party Grantor” of that VOLUNTARY, Civil, commercial contract!

    As God says,
“They exammined these things to see if they be so.” I have. For over 30 years!
