John< I would like to get this message to you, just because I hear your voice all the time. Dr. Dobson and Jim Daly. Tears are flowing as I'm leaving you this message. The last 2 guests on the radio show have been a great example of how good Focus on the family is at what they do. Shawntay talking about What husbands want their wives to know about men. And John's version of dare to discipline. Both of their last names escape me at the moment. What's sad is as our nation slowly but surely turns it's back on God, one of the horrific side affects is that the people that need the education Focus on the Family provides so liberally are not aware it exists. It's so important we as families stop the parade and learn the easy less stressful results of doing things right. In the early eighties I went to the most under rated, not to mention unorthadox christian university, only because my employer at th time allowed me to listen to chistian radio. I was not raised in a christian home, I was drawn to Christian Radio because I wanted to know why we count time around this man named Jesus. Chistian Radio was my Bible college and James Dobson, John MacCather, Chuck Swindol, David Hocking, Charles Stanley were some of my proffessors to name a few. Around 1980 I decided swimming in Cocaine was not the way to live. And Christian radio replaced it. I'm glad you were there.I have a 2 fold ministry in mind. 1 Let as many young people as possible know that Focus on the Family exists, and 2 Fund raising for Focus on the Family. Any advice would be greeted with open arms. I don't want to overstep any bounds. Your grateful servant Pat Porter
