From then on I found them fascinating, and would always try to listen. (Once I was transplanting trees in the far field, and walked all the way back to the house just to hear the Rest of the Story.) I think Paul Harvey was one of the last "real" conservatives on radio. Nowadays there are "neo-conservatives" like Rush, and Ann, and the "Great One", but it's not the same. The old-time, "real" conservatives were anti-war and anti-nuclear. They believed in small government, but what they believed in most was EFFICIENT government.
