Our 3rd daughter was in a hurry to arrive. After having just been to the doctor for my weekly check, we drove the 5 minutes to the home of my in-laws so my husband could get ready for our "date night." While in the shower, I had my first contraction. I looked at my mother-in-law and said, "I'll remember 3:06 if you'll remember 45 seconds." She promptly went to get my husband out of the shower...and then called the paramedics. From first contraction to delivery was 35 minutes. And the first baby that the newly trained paramedic had delivered.
