Change In The Wind

As Dr. Dobson noted on today’s broadcast, there will be a change for him – and for the radio program – coming early next year. This announcement leaves unanswered several questions – we hope to answer those and clarify things in the coming days.

Of course, we have much to be thankful for, as God has done a remarkable work through Dr. Dobson over these past 32 years. And we’re grateful that these programs continue to touch many, worldwide, on a daily basis. In fact, here’s one comment we received just today:

…last week’s programs were the best ever!  I just couldn’t get over how great each one was.  They were so heart warming — and heart wrenching.  There have been so many good broadcasts but last week takes the cake.

Speaking personally, it is a privilege to serve here at Focus on the Family, and to be associated with the radio programs. We’re prayerfully  – and eagerly – looking toward the future, whatever God has for us, confident He is pleased to speak to people through these broadcasts!

Please tell Dr. Dobsen that he will be missed. I have listened to Focus for over 20 years and the ministry has been an integral part of my family life. I will miss him very much.

We will miss Dr. Dobson. He is a hero of our times , and has effected the outcome of our generation mightily! His fatherly voice and stability will be greatly missed over the radio waves. We will be looking intently to see the Lord’s plans unfold for Dr. and Mrs. Dobson’s future. His contribution cannot be overestimated. Its a sad day for many of us.

I was sad to hear Dr Dobson will soon be leaving. I have listened to him since 1991. I am thankful for all the work and effort he and the Focus staff put into each ministry. May God rchly bless all of you.
I will pray for both Dr Dobson and the Focus ministry as they begin a new season.

I’ve been listening to Focus since 2001. I’ve enjoyed a work schedule that allowed me to listen most every single day!! I would like to say that Dr. Dobson’s consistency in his Christian walk has made a difference in my life. No matter the trial or accusation, Dr. Dobson has never faultered! I have several of his books in my library and will no doubt accumulate even more. Thank you, Dr. Dobson, for your committment to God’s call on your life. I will miss you a great deal on the radio each morning. Some day in the near future I hope to visit Focus on the Family Campus with my husband and would consider it a priviledge to meet you. Thank you again for your service to God!!!
