Hear two powerful stories on Focus on the Family broadcasts this week. Jacqueline Ivel describes how, as a pregnant teenager, she was nearly persuaded to have a partial-birth abortion, but decided to have her baby instead. Find the program online or listen to it on your radio station.
Abby Johnson made headlines last fall when she left Planned Parenthood after having a change of heart about abortion. Hear her explain what led to that momentous decision by tuning into your local station, or listen online here.

Hey John,
It is Mike from Redcloud, I heard your broadcast yesterday on Jacqueline Ivel. It was such a moving broadcast.

John,
During your broadcast with the lady who left Planned Parenthood, it seemed that protestors who go to the clinic are looked down upon and it seems like you are saying their actions were counterproductive. That may be so for the workers at the clinic but not necessarily for those who go in for abortions. There are people who pray outside the clinic. That is great and so very needed.God call us to interact with those who are in need and be a voice of those “being drawn toward death” Prov 24:11. Every year babies are saved every day by these “protestors”, actually they are sidewalk counselors. Jo Scott of Pro-life Colorado and other counselors save at least 100 babies a year. She has their photos, helps their moms and baby sits. She is a true pro-life hero.
Those who just pray neglect witnessing about God’s love and redemption to the staff and the guards and they neglect offering the moms help.
I wish that someone would have been outside the clnic on the snowy day that I had my abortion in 1987. I wish someone cared enough to stop me and I would have that child today. We offer help and we do shout out don’t kill your baby, this can make the mom stop and think. Many women who have turned around have thanked us later. I have encountered women who didn’t listen and wish they would have and one lady told me, “Don’t ever stop being there and telling them the truth.”
