As you probably know, Focus on the Family is here to come alongside families like yours with relevance and grace at each stage of the journey.  We support families as they seek to teach their children about God and His beautiful design for the family, protect themselves from the harmful influences of culture, and equip themselves to make a greater difference in the lives of those around them.

As we often say on-air, we’re here to help.  With practical resources – like our 1-800 Family Help line, counseling, and Websites – we’re committed to providing trustworthy, biblical guidance and support.

Of course, one aspect of our outreach involves radio, and it has been a true privilege to work on the daily Focus program for most of my tenure here at the ministry.  And some of the greatest joy is in hearing from folks who have been touched by our work. We receive a significant number of comments every day about our radio programming, much of it quite encouraging and touching. Let me share just one story that we just received:

Over twenty-five years ago, I began listening to your radio program at the recommendation of a mentor and friend. As a result, I’ve been touched by many of your guests over the years. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Focus for all of your wise counsel. In this day and age when it’s often difficult to see evidence of godly families, be assured that many of us in your listening audience are living testimonies that all of your prayer, hard work, and perseverance has paid off. I praise the Lord for the outstanding ministry of Focus on the Family!

We are grateful that God uses our work to impact lives, and I’m wondering if YOU have a story to tell? Leave a comment below and let others know how these broadcasts have made a difference in your life.

Also, I’d ask that you take a few minutes to answer our broadcast survey. Your answers to eight quick questions will help us evaluate and improve our programming. Here’s the link to that survey.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

    Hi John,
Focus on the Family has been in my life since the early 80′s. On Sept. 1, my wife and I will celebrate 37 years of marriage and have been blessed beyond with 4 children (2 daughters 42-Critical Care Nurse and 34-6th. Grade Teacher and 2 sons 31-Fireman/Paramedic and 27-Assistant Golf Profession) who know what Focus means to their family. By the way, we just became Grandparents on May 3rd., a beautiful baby girl named Bailey!

Many years on the road as a consultant have proved to be a wonderful time of learning and thought provoking in raising a successful family from many perspectives, especially from God’s perspective and desires.

Dr. Dobson, who we met years ago at the Chart House Restaurant in Dana Point, CA., has always felt like a hero to me; make that a champion in aligning me with volumes of things to do right for our family. The numerous guests speakers made the program especially entertaining and very meaningful on a consistent basis.

Honestly, our family couldn’t have made it as well as we have without the impact of Focus and our Lord’s grace. Being on commission most of my career lead to many disappointing and challenging developments, including BK in 1985. Many things were lost during those years, but our family remained in tact and stronger due to our commitment to serving the Lord and Focus support. Our church at that time played a significant role as well in bringing us through this incredible time. Everyone gets a shot a failure!

I pray for the ministry daily, especially for Jim, Julie and you John. Dr. Dobson and the Focus Board couldn’t have put a better team together to help steer the thriving ministry of Focus on the Family; incredible work showing incredible results for years and years.

Keep up the the superb daily effort! Please know I love every minute of my drive to work knowing at 4:30AM on 99.50FM, and repeating at 5:00AM on 107.9, will be more enlightenment and challenge from you all. I travel 180 miles a day from Temecula to Hawthorne, near LAX, to work which starts at 3:30AM. Yes, I get plenty of listening time in during my daily journey.

Fond Regards to all, including Dr. Dobson!
    Norman Nelson
